Overview

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing product interfaces and integrations, translating fragmented documentation into clear, standardized requirements, and driving data-driven insights to support product and business decisions. The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders.  

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Interface & Requirements Analysis  

  • Analyze product interfaces and integrations using technical and functional documentation to understand data flow, dependencies, and business rules.  
  • Elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements to support standardization of interfaces.  
  • Breakdown complex behaviors into clear use cases, workflows, and data mappings.  
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and edge cases in current integrations and propose structured requirements to address them.  
  • Work closely with Product Owners and Engineering teams to ensure requirements are unambiguous, complete, and implementation ready.  

Data Analysis & Insights (Nice to have)  

  • Perform data analysis using SQL, or data analysis tools such as Power BI to identify trends, anomalies, and insights.  
  • Translate data findings into actionable insights to support product decisions, prioritization, and operational improvements.  
  • Validate data accuracy and integrity across systems and interfaces.  

Stakeholder Collaboration  

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, QA, and Business stakeholders to refine requirements and clarify expectations.  
  • Facilitate requirement of walkthroughs, reviews, and signoffs to ensure alignment across teams.  

Process & Continuous Improvement  

  • Contribute to improving requirements of documentation standards, templates, and best practices.  
  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce customization, and improve scalability.  
  • Support Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement and sprint planning as requirements and analysis partners.  

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 
  • 2–5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role. 
  • Strong cross-functional leadership across engineering, data science, data engineering & security stakeholders 

 

Skills Required

  • Strong experience in requirements of gathering and documentation (BRD, FRD, use cases, user stories).  
  • Experience analyzing interfaces, integrations, and data flows.  
  • Solid data analysis skills using SQL, Power BI, or similar tools.  
  • Exposure to product analytics tools such as Pendo or similar tools.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.  
  • Ability to translate between business and technical stakeholders.  
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.  

 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.  
  • Exposure API-based integrations and system-to-system data exchange.  
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Power BI.  
  • Healthcare, SaaS, or enterprise software domain experience.
