Overview

 

This role as a Senior Staff Software Engineer will lead AI Engineering Enablement in support of our AI transformation efforts and drive adoption of AI-powered tools across the engineering teams. This role partners closely with a globally distributed core engineering team responsible for evaluating and approving AI tools used throughout the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC).

This role will act as the primary advocate, trainer, and technical guide for these tools; helping engineers and leaders understand how to use them effectively to improve productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes. This role requires strong technical fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a passion for enablement and change leadership.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with a global AI core team to evaluate, pilot, and operationalize AI tools across the PDLC.
  • Drive engagement, adoption, and consistent usage of approved tools across India-based engineering teams.
  • Serve as the local evangelist for AI-enabled engineering practices and tooling.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for engineers, managers, and directors.
  • Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and enablement materials.
  • Support onboarding and integration of tools into daily engineering workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering managers and tech leads to reinforce best practices.
  • Gather feedback from teams and share insights with the core AI team to improve tooling and adoption strategies.
  • Monitor engagement and adoption trends and help assess impact on engineering effectiveness.

Skills Required

  • 6 to 10 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or technical enablement roles.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and LLM-based workflows.  
  • Recent hands-on experience using Claude Code strongly preferred.  
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices and the PDLC.
  • Hands-on experience with developer productivity tools, engineering analytics, or AI-assisted development platforms. 
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, C#, or similar).
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and simply to diverse audiences.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working with distributed or global engineering teams.
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving technical environments.
