Overview

As a member of a product development team, you will work alongside software developers, architects, business analysts and user experience designers to build and support a commercial SAAS platform.

In the role of Senior DB Developer, you will be challenged with designing and implementing efficient and scalable solutions to integrate data throughout the system, define data models to meet the functional needs of our products as well as define and implement data structures and ETL processes to support reporting and data analytics. You will be responsible for owning modules aligning with DB architecture and help development team for database interactions and feature design and development closure as well for DB modules

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be a champion for department initiatives and values ensuring all actions promote the department’s mission statement
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS to support data migration, transformation, and integration across multiple systems.
  • Optimize ETL workflows for scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Implement error handling, logging, and auditing mechanisms in ETL packages.
  • Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, and SQL scripts for data processing.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
  • Work with other developers, analysts, project managers, QA and others to develop enterprise-level software products adhering to best practices and established standards and practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to ETL processes.
  • Mentor software engineers on design principles, engineering practices and be resourceful
  • Ensure software solutions are reviewed, documented and unit tested prior to handing it over to QA
  • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear testable code
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
  • Communicate in a professional manner when interacting with coworkers and external customers
  • Participate in internal and external technical reviews, as required
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
  • Stay current on new technologies and best practices
  • Research new technology for potential application to platform development. Keeps abreast of current trends related to data technologies

 

  • Work with Architecture to map ideas to feasible client solutions

 

Skills Required

Qualification Required:

 

Education: Desired Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
