Overview

he Manager, Data Platform is responsible for leading Business Intelligence engineering team, while also driving Fullstack application development and AI-driven initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise in BI platforms, and the ability to integrate modern technologies to deliver data-driven insights and innovative solutions. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy 

  • Own the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise BI solutions. 
  • Drive implementation and optimization of BI tools (Power BI, Amazon QuickSight & Tableau). 
  • Ensure data accuracy, governance, and performance for dashboards and reporting systems. 
  • Oversee development of scalable web applications and APIs using modern frameworks (Angular, Node.js, .NET). 

Platform Development & Operations 

  • Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of Web applications & robust BI solutions. 
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of Web applications & BI solutions. 
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery strategies of Web applications & BI solutions. 
  • Own and drive the resolution of technical debt to support delivery and long-term product health. 

AI-driven Initiatives: 

  • Partner with Data Science teams to integrate AI/ML models into BI and analytics workflows. 
  • Lead AI engineering efforts including MLOps practices for model deployment and monitoring. 

 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management 

  • Work closely with business leaders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 

 

Innovation & Continuous Improvement 

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance the BI solutions. 
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.  
  • 13–15 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3–5 years in BI leadership roles. 
  • Strong hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Amazon QuickSight & Tableau) and data visualization best practices. 
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing. 
  • Experience in Fullstack development (Node.js, React/Angular, REST APIs). 
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts and experience leading AI engineering projects. 
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Experience working with a distributed development team and demonstrated knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology 
  • Ability to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility  
  • Effective, clear, and concise communication skills and the ability to interface with leaders and staff at both an individual and group level  

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with healthcare IT standards and compliance requirements 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 
  • Passion for building scalable, secure, and innovative data solutions. 
  • Experience in building self-service analytics platforms. 
  • Exposure to machine learning pipelines and MLOps. 
  • Prior experience in a product-led or SaaS company.
