Regulatory Technical Writer

The Regulatory Technical Writer is responsible for producing regulatory documentation and customer communications for our Midas product suite, with a focus on healthcare. This role requires exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in content tools to meet both internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.

The Technical Writer also partners with teams across the organization on a mix of technical product documentation, product UI text, and in-app content that will enable our customers to maximize the value created by symplr solutions. The Technical Writer is an integral part of managing the product content lifecycle.

Regulatory Documentation

• Take content from regulatory documents and combine it with symplr content in FrameMaker and Acrobat. 

• Transcribe and incorporate regulatory content into standardized document formats.

Product Content & UI Text

• Craft new and improved product documentation to symplr standards.
• Use styles, variables, master pages, and page layouts to maintain documentation consistency.
• Collaborate with others on user interface text, such as field labels and error messages.
• Ensure clarity, conciseness, and consistency across product documentation and user interface content.
• Follow documentation plan for updating and creating content.

Publishing & Quality Assurance

• Test and publish deliverables on schedule.
• Publish customer communications.

Collaboration & Communication

• Participate in documentation reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of content quality and processes.
• Troubleshoot reported issues, and work with Engineering and Product as needed to rectify the issues.
• Provide project updates.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other Technical Writers.

• Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years’ experience or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Excellent proficiency in English language (written and verbal).
• Experience working with globally distributed teams, preferably in a SaaS or healthcare technology environment.
• Collaborative approach to sharing and receiving feedback.
• Ability to use content authoring tools, techniques, and processes to produce, publish, and deploy various forms of documentation.
• Ability to synthesize, track, and manage ongoing feature development, release schedules, and documentation initiatives.
• Proficient in Adobe FrameMaker and MadCap Flare.
