Overview

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAFe Program Manager to lead the successful implementation of our large-scale agile initiatives using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) at symplr. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAFe principles and practices, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record of driving complex programs to successful outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Lead and guide the implementation of multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork among Agile teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other stakeholders involved in the program.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication and information sharing across teams, ensuring transparency and clarity in program goals, progress, and challenges.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and proactively manage program-level risks, issues, and impediments, taking appropriate actions to mitigate their impact.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement in processes, practices, and workflows across the program.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Establish relevant metrics and reporting mechanisms to track program progress, measure success, and make informed decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels, ensuring their engagement and support throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Adherence to SAFe: Ensure that SAFe principles, methodologies, and best practices are followed consistently across the program.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science.
  • A SAFe certification is preferred.
  • Experience:   Max 10 years of experience,  5 years of experience in program management, with a significant portion focused on leading and implementing agile initiatives using the SAFe framework.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, inspire, and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives.
