Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Director to lead the Quality Center of Excellence. This leader is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of all Quality CoE initiatives. This position reports directly to Senior Director, Quality Engineering.

• Lead the Quality Center of Excellence by partnering with quality engineering teams to improve the quality practices and processes.
• Bring in thought leadership for quality enablement.
• Work collaboratively with engineering teams across different portfolios to provide them the technical guidance needed.
• Foster a culture of innovation by introducing new techniques and tools, where needed.
• Implement industry standard best practices for UI/API automation, performance testing, accessibility, and security testing.
• Drive data quality strategy and standards through CoE
• Directly manage a team of experts in various disciplines like performance testing, UI/API automation, accessibility testing, security testing etc.
• Lead an R&D group within CoE to continuously look for innovation and optimization.
• Lead tool evaluation and selection. Perform POCs and provide recommendations for tools.
• Lead CoE services teams who are matrixed into engineering organization to work on technical problems like automation or performance testing.
• Run Quality Maturity Assessment for products and provide recommendations to improve the quality of software products.
• Work with globally dispersed teams and stakeholders to ensure quality practices are being implemented.
• Able to work with different vendors to staff up the CoE team.

Qualifications Required:

• Master’s degree preferred in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field 
• 12+ years’ experience in software quality engineering
• 7+ years of leading and managing quality teams
• Experience working in an agile environment with distributed engineering teams
• Experience with testing tools like Selenium Web Driver, Webdriver.IO, Cucumber, Postman, JMeter, Load Runner, ReadyAPI
• Experience with languages like C#, Java, Ruby, Typescript etc.
• Experience testing web services (REST, SOAP etc.)
• Experience with test management tools like Azure DevOps, Zephyr etc.
