Overview

Objective:
The Staff Technical Product Manager works to fulfill the strategic product direction established by the Engineering, Architecture, and Product Management teams. This role is responsible for defining the detailed requirements for each product and feature. The Staff Technical Product Manager must have a firm understanding of the business domain and project needs taking into account multiple types of users utilizing each solution. This position works closely with engineering on the specifications to ensure their Agile team has all of the information needed to deliver a complete product to market

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Bridge business requirements to technical capabilities
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
• Work with the Product Manager and Agile team to define the scope included in a release
• Work with Product Owners to develop detailed specifications/requirements for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development team
• Actively participate in PI planning, product sprints and daily stand-up meetings
• Be aware of customer commitments in order to communicate internally to assist with managing team expectations
• Manage dependencies in and across sprints and releases
• Work with the Agile team to manage and prioritize the backlog to ensure alignment with changing business needs
• Prioritize support work as needed
• Assist with system status communication and escalation as needed including customer communication
• Keep stakeholders apprised of progress and incorporate their feedback
• Understand project budgets, scope and timelines and work to maintain a balance
• Use metrics and feedback to improve team and organization processes, best practices, performance, and delivery
• Assess and address technical risks
• Act as a technology champion within the company
• Collaborate on Technology Roadmap with Product Manager and Architects

Skills Required

Skills Required:
• Strong knowledge of Agile principles and process
• Anticipate needs and drive innovation in both business needs and technology enablers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL for creating queries
• Having working knowledge of API Platform Technologies, Database, Microsoft Development Technologies

Ability to influence cross-functional team without formal authority
• Excellent time management, resource organization and priority establishment skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with diplomacy and tact, including when responding to resistance
• Ability to work with an optimistic attitude both independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated with strong, proven, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understands the importance of data flow, data integrity, and business process efficiency, as well as the potential role technology could play to improve or enhance them

 

Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, business or related field
• Strong technical background (i.e. Web Services, Data Management, Angular, Java Script, SQL, Identity/Access Management)
• Experience building SaaS and Mobile solutions
• Healthcare industry knowledge preferred
• Overall 8+ years of experience in software development.
• Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience as an Agile Product Owner and/or Architect
